The Home Builder’s Association of Greater Siouxland would like to invite you to our 55th Annual Siouxland Home Show. This event will be held at the Sioux City Convention Center on February 23-26, 2012. Our show hours will be 1-9 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, 11-9 p.m. on Saturday and Noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
In 2011, our community experienced the high flood waters which for many people caused considerable damage. The citizens of Siouxland pulled together to help each other in their hour of need. Thankfully the flood waters are gone, but the damage has been left behind. We would like to encourage home owners to visit our home show and speak to the experts on how to repair, remodel, or rebuild. We have 166 exhibitors in our show, with 26 new exhibitors.
The Discovery parking ramp will have free parking during the hours of the home show. We will also provide free shuttle service from the Long Lines Recreation Center to the Sioux City Convention Center on Saturday and Sunday.
The Home Builder’s Board of Directors and Home Show Committee would also like to give a big thank you to the sponsors for this year’s show. Through these sponsorships, we will be giving away cash certificate’s that can be used with any Home Builder member or any home show exhibitor. We will have hourly door prizes throughout the show – items have been donated by our members and/or exhibitors.
We hope that you will be able to attend our show, register for door prizes and get many new ideas for your home remodel or the building of a new home.
The Home Builders in partnership with Western Iowa Tech’s Carpentry and Electrical classes and the City of Sioux City Neighborhood Services Division are building a $160,000 house which will be sold for less than $100,000. The building process is still taking place with our completion date for late May or early June. If interested in further details, please stop at the Home Builder’s booth at the Home Show or call the HBA office at 255-3852.

We have monthly membership meetings where we meet and discuss issues that affect the building industry. WE have educational programs, safety training, and share ideas to promote the construction of new homes and remodeling in the Siouxland area.
